Where did you start your career?

I worked in the Fashion industry for over 10 yrs then joined a recruitment company to assist with their marketing. The last 16 years as they say, is history..I'm still here!

How do you get a recruiter to take notice of you?

Return their calls. Email regularly but not everyday. Ideally once a fortnight!

Short cover letter or long one?

Short and to the point. Too much waffle is time consuming at the receiving end. The detail in the Resume  is what is important.

Say,  I am totally struggling with getting up to go to work everyday... Is it better to find a job whilst employed or resign and dedicate all your time to finding a newie?

In these times, stick with your job, and investigate as best you can. It can be difficult  to do both, but perserverance will be rewarded. However if it is intolerable, then you will know what to do....................

Best advice to a graduate?

Consider all options!

Best advice to a Gen Y?

Don't expect it all to happen all at once!

Best advice to a Gen X?

Keep abreast of changes within your skillset, and in tough times, be open minded.

Best advice to a baby boomer?

See yourself as a mentor to Gen Y and possibly Gen X!!!!

What do you love about your job?

The pleasure of finding that dream job for my candidates. Working with dynamic and forward thinking clients.
