Where did you start your career?
My career kicked off working as advertising co-ordinator at Harper's BAZAAR straight out of university. My goal was to get my foot in the door and make the transition to editorial shortly afterwards. I immediately fell in love with sales however, and spent the next 6 years working in advertising at Harpers, Cosmopolitan and Cleo magazines.

What do you love about your job?
Definitely the buying aspect. I love seeing brand new collections before the public and if I could spend all of my pennies on clothes I would!

Tell us about your average day, what do you do?
A great part of my day is spent glued to my laptop reading emails. I'm constantly answering customer enquiries, uploading content and editorial on the site, responding to lookbooks sent to me from new designers, packing and sending orders, next season buying appointments and communicating with my customers through my newsletters, blog and facebook page.

Is there anything you dread doing?
Not at all! I absolutely love my job! Although if I could go one weekend without checking my emails that would be a dream!

Your advice for someone wanting a fashion career?
Hard work, persistence and ask lots of questions. Always give any and every job a go as you never know where it will lead you and what you will learn along the way.

Is it what you know or who you know?
Absolutely a combination of the two. Still today I am learning so much and meeting so many people integral to succeeding in this industry.

What inspires you?
I love people watching and take huge inspiration from everyday people on the street. I'm also totally inspired by hard working people succeeding in making their dream job a lifestyle.
