Calvin Klein Menswear is based in the Amsterdam European head office the team is split into 5 teams: Merchandise & Sales, Production & Development, Design & Graphic & Pattern, Buying & Planning, Planning & Controlling. The 5 teams work together in an informal setting on creating an innovative & high-end quality product with the perfect fit for the European market. Calvin Klein Menswear develops 2 collections per year and combines modern & innovative clothing with elevated & elegant sportswear (Suits, Blazer, Dress & Casual Pants, Denim, Dress & Casual Shirts, Sweaters, Jersey, Outerwear, Coats, Leather & Textile Accessories). Calvin Klein Menswear is modern, premium, sophisticated and stands for minimalistic, simplicity and an elevated elegance, maximized to perfection, innovation and always refined and stylish. Positioned in an exquisite and contemporary retail environment with an affordable luxury chic.
Learning objectives: - To learn the process of preparation, development and purchasing of product - To learn about proto development and sample development - To learn the set-up and follow-up of the order process with suppliers - To learn about Product Development systems set-up and maintenance Core accountabilities: - Support Product Development team in setting up and maintaining Product Development Sheets Product - Check and approve protos and samples - Communicate with Suppliers and follow up on protos, samples and lab dips - Follow up on purchase orders
- Currently enrolled in studies, Bachelor level or above, within Product Development/Garment Technical or equivalent - Technical knowledge of product development/production - Fluent in English - Proficient in Office package
