1. What is your job title?
Design & Production Assistant

2. What do you try to avoid until 5.30pm and it doesn't disappear off your desk?
There's nothing I can avoid to be honest, it's not that kind of job! We work to a tight timeline, and well in advance, so everything has to get done as soon as possible to move onto the next thing. You snooze you lose!

3. What do you love about your job?
The creativity, the variety, the fact that no two days are the same and I never have to sit around wondering "what's next"?!

4. Best advice to a "fashion wannabe"?
Know what you are getting into - by which I mean get a good grounding in the fashion business through work experience at fashion companies, and courses in fashion. Knowing how a garment is constructed and the importance of attention to detail is vital when everything else is so fast paced. By doing work experience at a variety of different fashion companies, you get an idea of how everything works, the process from conception to completion and the ins and outs of wholesale and retail.

5. What's your mantra that gets you through the day? (What motivates you?)
I'm motivated by the fantastic clothes I work with day in day out, the amazing and creative team and the fact that I have so much to do basically keeps me out of mischief from the beginning to the end of the day!

6. Any Devil wears PRADA characters in the buying/design office?  If so who which character are they?
No one has time to really have big egos and it is very hands on. From the management to the work experience help, everyone mucks in and isn't afraid of hard work, so you can't be a princess - you wouldn't survive!

7. Does the Devil really wear PRADA?
Thankfully not in our office!
