Under the glory of Melbourne’s gorgeous autumn sunshine the Ragtradejobs.com L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival Event took place on Wednesday the 18th of March. To start this magical night we experienced fashion at it’s best as the stunning collections of designers including Thurley, Lisa Ho, Manning Cartell, Ginger & Smart, Kate Silvester, Nevenka, Obus and Arabella Ramsay graced the runway. Our pick was Lisa Ho with Ginger & Smart’s gorgeous collection coming a close second.

Ragtradejobs.com had our own agenda for the evening and yes it was almost all about the bling of the runway, but we had collected the most impressive array of Australia’s leading brands HR Manager's to network with just one lucky fashionista! And it was all about Lou!

Our competition was won by Louise a 24 year old retail store manager who has completed a course in Product Development at RMIT and worked in wholesale sales for a well known surf wear brand for 4 years. It is Louise’s dream to one day be a buyer and product developer for Sportsgirl and so she was lucky enough to enjoy the runway show and dinner sitting with Lisa Nixon the HR Manager for Sportsgirl HQ in Melbourne. This confident fashionista handled the job interview of her life with incredible grace. She networked the room, chatted and impressed (and went home with a whole heap of the most sought after business cards in fashion!)

And Louise looked every bit glamorous with her stunning make over including make-up, hair and a gorgeous dress from Zimmerman thanks to our sponsors Dario Cotroneo and Chadstone Shopping Centre. Go for it Lou, we are going to see amazing things from you and whatever you to do in your fashion career, we know you will be a huge success!

It was also an amazing first to get the HR Manager’s together from Australia’s leading fashion employers and we would like to thank Myer, David Jones, Rockman’s, Sussan, Country Road, Pacific Brands, Sportsgirl, Cotton On, The Just Group, Kookai, Forever New and Armani Exchange for participating in this fabulous event.
